Sons & Daughters quietly opened last week in the former Café Mozart space (708 Bush Street), and we and several of our blog cohorts proceeded to shout about it to anyone who’d listen, because that’s how we are. The intimate spot on Nob Hill, whose slightly gaudy former tenants insisted it was the “most romantic restaurant in San Francisco,” has gotten a modern makeover by Deborah McNamara, the mother of co-chef Matthew McNamara.

Matt and his other half in the kitchen, Teague Moriarty, are both ambitious recent culinary school grads making uptown food for almost-Mission prices (their tasting menu will currently run you $48 for four courses).
