Sprouts Farmer’s Market, an Arizona-based chain of health-food and produce grocers stretching across four states, will open Wednesday, June 23rd, in Culver City’s former Circuit City site off of Sepulveda. Sprouts has several locations in the Southland, from San Diego to Thousand Oaks, though this will be the first store within L.A. city borders. The chain is a meticulous sourcer of multiple varieties of farmed produce, demonstrating on its website where almost every piece of seasonal fruit hails from. In addition, the store, which bears some semblance to Trader Joe’s, has its own line of breads as well as vitamins and supplements, natural meats and seafood, imported cheeses, and craft beer and wines both organic and not. The Culver City location will be followed with new stores in Pasadena on Rosemead this year and one in Redondo Beach in 2011. More details are available on Sprout’s website.

Sprouts, opening June 23rd at 5660 Sepulveda Blvd. Culver City.
