Phillip Foss’s Reign of Sausage Terror

Phillip Foss’s “Foss Hog” - a pork sausage topped with Cob smoked bacon, a fried egg and maple mayonnaise - can’t be stopped at Franks ‘N’ Dawgs. After easily outselling Curtis Duffy’s “Duffy Duck” sausage last month (we were told that it “wasn’t even close.”), Foss has gone ahead and challenged Aaron Deal from the Custom House. Each month the gourmet sausage shop introduces a new chef approved sausage to its menu. This month Deal is introducing a veal dog. But Foss has made it a much more interesting game. Whoever loses this match up will have to cook a meal for the winner’s family and be his commis. If you are confused as to the duties of a commis, Foss spells it out for you on Twitter: “Translation for foodiots: commis = kitchen bitch.” [@phillipfoss]
