Mac’s Tavern Opened Softly Over the Weekend

Mac’s Tavern, the Old City bar owned in part by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson, opened its doors for a soft launch this past weekend, according to the Insider. None of the FX show’s stars were reported present, but food and drink flowed freely to a packed house. The former Skinner’s space reportedly now features numerous TVs, 16 taps and a menu inspired by McElhenney’s character on the show. Closed now, it will reopen, presumably for good, on Thursday, June 3. The red carpet grand opening, which will feature appearances by the show’s cast who will be in town shooting exteriors for next season, is rescheduled for June 23. [Insider]
