L.A. Somehow Finds Room for Another Double Decker Food Bus

It’s hard to believe our streets have more room for food trucks, let alone another double-decker-bus-based restaurant. Nonetheless, Feast spots The Fox Pizza Bus rolling our way, with lettering that veers scarily too close to the font used by Fox News, albeit with the addition of a fox tail. That is remedied by the promise of personal and shared wood-fired pizzas with seasonal ingredients. These will be prepared by native Angeleno Mike Fox, who must have a surplus of confidence to take on L.A.’s little edible bugaboo, pizza, and to try it on a truck to boot. On Fox’s side, or bus rather, is an Italian Forno Bravo oven that will be fueled by fruit hardwoods and oak, as well an eco-friendly attitude that extends to the take-out boxes. Judging from Fox Pizza Bus’ Twitter, it’s still making some last minute adjustments, but plans to debut in June.
