Great Balls on Tires Launching with Average Puns That Are Tired

So this is what it’s finally come to folks: A food truck based on puns about balls. Groan. This Friday, Great Balls on Tires launches for all those people who found Alec Baldwin’s “schweddy balls” bit on SNL so uproarious. The product of three Cordon Bleu-trained pals, G-BOT sells a global spread of meatballs after these “purveyors of fine balls” “drove around town, flew across the country and even overseas to taste the balls of the world.” What did that inspire exactly?

The adventure resulted in Kobe, bacon, and gruyere “Incrediballs,” veal, pork, and pancetta marinara “Ciao Ballas,” Middle Eastern “Ballafels,” and Vietnamese “Ball mi.” Eater points out that ‘gator tail will go into the first “Oddball,” while onetime Comme Ca exec chef Michael David is contributing the first guest ball. Hopefully, a contribution from Tasting Table blogger Leslie Balla is planned down the line as well.

The menu here actually looks inspired, even if the downpour of testicular double-speak appears not. G-BOT will debut this Friday at The Music Box from 9:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M. Just look for the vehicle with a massive “Meat Our Balls” sign affixed to its flank or track it on Twitter.

G-BOT debuts this Friday at 9:00 P.M. at 6126 Hollywood Blvd. Hollywood.
