Golden Era Gets the Reidinger Treatment; Kauffman Approves Parada 22’s Version of Puerto Rican

Paul Reidinger calls Tenderloin vegan Chinese joint Golden Era, with its high ceilings and wooden arches, a “classic S.F. spot.” He likes the crispy chow mein and the potsticker, but he spends a good bit of time making comparisons of the atmosphere to Postrio, the Wolfgang Puck restaurant that he notes is now closed. But, since Reidinger is prone to errata, we’ll predict a few corrective emails coming his way saying that Postrio remains very much open, at least the bar and café, while the main dining room is now a private event space. Jonathan Kauffman meanwhile is the first to file a review on Alex Jackson’s Upper Haight Puerto Rican venture, Parada 22. He says most of the meats are “cooked beautifully” and that the pernil (pork leg) is the “best thing on the menu.” [SF Weekly]
