Kit & Key narrowly averted crushing devastation when fire struck on Monday, but smoke and water damage will keep the tavern closed until Friday, according to Foobooz. The small fire that broke out was confined primarily to an office, and luckily spared the bar and dining area. Somewhat related, 500º reopened yesterday - with a fiery-smoky-themed burger of the week cooked up by Rouge/Adsum chef Matt Levin - after closing temporarily due to a fire there on June 3, the Insider reports.
