Eric Ripert’s full-scale assault on national celebrity continues with the publication of his latest cookbook, Avec Eric, out in November. According to Wiley’s fall 2010 catalog, the book is a companion to his globe-trotting PBS series, and the “part travelogue, part cookbook” contains a whopping 125 recipes. But perhaps more interesting is Ripert’s defection to Wiley (home of Sandra Lee!) from his longtime home at Artisan Books, who brought the world his earlier A Return to Cooking and the blockbuster behind-the-scenes-at-Le Bernardin book, On the Line. Also coming this fall from Wiley: Laurent Tourondel’s latest, a seasonal cookbook (with charts!) entitled Fresh From the Market.
