Dettera, the ambitious restaurant and wine bar in Ambler that once boasted that it was “bringing the tastes of the city to the suburbs,” has announced that Jeffrey Power is the new Executive Chef. He replaces Thomas Groff. Power, who attended the Culinary Institute of America, earned a three bell rating from the Inquirer’s Craig LaBan, while serving as chef de cuisine at Conshohocken’s Blackfish.
Power’s resume includes stints at Dolce International, Le Bec Fin and Striped Bass. He brings with him Brent Hazelbaker, formerly of Parc and Maia, as chef de cuisine. Together the two have created a new menu that places its emphasis on local, farm fresh ingredients.
