We’d get kind of tired of following all these barbecue openings if we didn’t love the stuff so much. Still, it’s getting kind of out of hand, as yet another barbecue joint is opening. Adding to the list of new barbecue places that have opened (Smokey Bears Barbecue, The Piggery, Brand BBQ) or are about to open (The Pork Shoppe), is Chicago Q, which plans to open in River North. Fred Latsko, who was behind Table Fifty-Two is involved. It is taking the place of Tsunami, which closed last year. Along with a list of standards like pulled pork and brisket, is smoked pastrami and barbecued bologna. Like all barbecue joints, it promises to be authentic and delicious. [Chicago Magazine]
