Bauer Loves the ‘New Take’ on Italian at Oenotri; Graue Delights in San Mateo’s S. Dali

Michael Bauer, on the recommendation of a friend, paid a few visits to Oenotri in downtown Napa, and raves about the innovative Italian dishes, including a lamb tongue dish that he hopes “makes a reappearance,” a squab with wood-oven roasted cherries that he calls “the best squab dish I’ve had,” and, predictably, all the pizzas he tried. Jennifer Graue at the Mercury News filed a review this weekend of downtown San Mateo’s S. Dali Tapas Bar & Restaurant, which is named for Salvador Dali and which she calls “not a trendy tapas bar.” She loved the empanadilla de carne, the tortilla de patatas y chorizo, and couldn’t get enough of their sangria.
