First & Hope continues to play with our food during new daily cocktail hours with retro themes that change daily and stretch from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Complimentary bar snacks will be served along with featured drinks and specialty menus. First up is TV Dinner Tuesday, with an upscale reworking of Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, and a rhubarb crisp served on a TV tray. Wednesdays find a picnic at the bar with $5 fried chicken and potato salad, along with featured global beers. The same bar will be decked out like a farmer’s market on Thursday for diners to pick any fruits they want to be juiced and worked into a cocktail, while chef Shelly Cooper will offer crudite, anitpasti, and veggie casserole compliments on the house. Finally, Friday nights are all about free fondue, featuring pork belly skewers, herb cheese sauce, chocolate fondue, and cocktails that gained notoriety in the Fifties.
