Deeply beloved frozen-confections seller NYC Icy has closed and reopened and closed so many times that we’ve practically lost count. And now they’re opening again — the Feed reports that starting tomorrow, 100 Avenue A will be home to the latest NYC Icy shop, with a rotating roster of 200 flavors of ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and other frozen scoopables. That doesn’t mean we’re in the home stretch: The shop is just a six-month pop-up experiment. Still, if it takes off, look for more NYC Icy locations planting their flags elsewhere around town.
