Locanda Positano Opens in Marina del Rey

A new restaurant practically appeared overnight on Marina del Rey’s stretch of Lincoln, with signage of a huge blue and white boat. Locanda Positano finds Florence’s Massimo Denaro, formerly exec chef at San Diego’s La Strada, in the kitchen, who tells us the restaurant is focusing on authentic Italian made with organic, local produce and products direct from Italy. Menus will likely see some seasonal change, while seafood and wine service will be a noticeable feature of this cozy 30-seat restaurant. The chef tell us signatures include Santa Barbara shrimp, wild boar parpadelle, baby artichoke salad, and a daily selection of fresh fish, with all of the pastas made in-house. With a small, romantic setting, Positano scores another needed coup in converting sketchy Lincoln to something potentially, eventually more charming. A website is under construction while the restaurant is currently open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.
