Judaken’s East Suspends All But Sushi Service


Sounds like David Judaken’s first foray into fine-dining isn’t going as smoothly as his days dedicated to nightlife ventures like Garden of Eden. Eater reports that his West Hollywood restaurant East shut down everything but its sushi bar after just eight months of service, and also cut back hours to just four days of operation every week. Reps from Syndicate Hospitality Group say the changes will remain “until we reach a place where the menu is what we feel it needs to be to cater to the demographic of the area.” Does this mean another craft beer and burger joint or hyper-specialized spirit venue is on its way?
