What’s a friendly sausage competition between friends? The Lockwood’s Phillip Foss has challenged Avenue’s Curtis Duffy to see who can sell the most of their specialty sausage creations at Franks ‘N’ Dawgs. Foss’s “Foss Hog” is a pork sausage topped with bacon, a fried egg and maple mayo, while Curtis Duffy’s “Duffy Duck” is a duck sausage with cherries, pistachios, and a cherry foam. The winner will pick up the tab for a night out at Kith & Kin.

As you may remember, this isn’t Phillip Foss’s first high end sausage adventure. He once completely redeveloped the Chicago Hot Dog at the Lockwood. But Curtis Duffy has already proven he is a shrewd competitor by offering a 10% discount at Avenues if you purchase the “Duffy Duck”. For now, Foss is attempting to take the high road, but we’ll see how long that lasts.
