Sweet Rose Creamery at Brentwood Country Mart

Tomorrow at noon, Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan, of Huckleberry and Rustic Canyon, open their heavily anticipated Sweet Rose Creamery in Brentwood Country Mart. Here the duo is enlisting Shiho Yoshikawa to hand-make small batch gourmet ice cream in flavors like ginger, strawberry, mint chocolate, Earl grey, and salted caramel. A true ice cream lover’s paradise, the changing flavors are sold at a fair-ish rate of $3.50 a scoop and $5.00 for two, as well as in frozen sweets like house-special sundaes, bon-bons, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream pies, neopolitans, malts, and milkshakes. We also see Sweet Rose has Virgil’s root beer and Coke on tap for floats and a selection of specialty sodas. With red-cushioned stools, clean white and blond walls, and a chalkboard menu, the space has an adorable days-gone-by soda-counter feel that matches its rustic BrentwoodCountry Mart surroundings perfectly. It looks like a true passion project sure to ignite nostalgia and sweet-teeth citywide. Take a look at the space and full menus of flavors and available treats in our slide show.

Open Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 9:00 P.M. through May, then hours will be expanded. 225 26th Street Brentwood. 310-260-CONE.
