Drink Up at Biba, Tria’s ‘Spunky Little Cousin,’ Opening in August

From the folks who brought us Tria, here comes another four-letter, two-voweled spot: Biba, opening in the Left Bank building at 3131 Walnut this August. Described to us by owner Jon Myerow as “Tria’s spunky little cousin,” the bar goes beyond its to-be-expected extensive list of wines by the glass with a brew list ten beers (one tap will be dedicated to a rotating selection of local casks). Like Tria, the menu sticks to wine-friendly plates: cheese, charcuterie, and sweets; unlike Tria, Biba is tiny: just 34 seats, plus a dozen more outside in nice weather. Which it should be, by the time August comes around.
