Citizens Band Coming to SoMa, Cinnaholic Coming to Berkeley, and More

SoMa: Going in next door to Pinkie’s Bakery and Bento 415 in the former Ideal Deli space (Folsom & 8th), sometime in July, will be a full service restaurant called Citizens Band. Pinkie’s chef Cheryl Burr will handle desserts, and Bento chef Chris Beerman, formerly of Conduit and Boulevard, will cover the savory side, which is billed as “a tribute to American classics.” [Chron]
Berkeley: A “punk rock meets pin-up style” vegan bakery called Cinnaholic is aiming to move into 2132 Oxford Street in Berkeley, spitting distance from campus. They’ll be offering customizable vegan cinnamon rolls in flavors like pina colada and root beer. [Berkeleyside]

Haight: Ethiopian restaurant Massawa (1538 Haight Street) is shuttering and the next door Haight Street Market just got approval from Planning yesterday to take over the space and expand into it. [Eater]
