A new food truck just rolled into town, complete with its own take on tacos, sliders, and Southern sides. Smokin’ Willie’s (something we’ve accused a few trucks of doing in our time) has BBQ chicken and pulled pork tacos for just two bucks each, and much to the delight of vegan blogger Quarry Girl, a BBQ vegan tofu taco. There are also meatball and pork sandwiches as well as slider versions, plus one-dollar sides of potato salad, baked beans, and cole slaw. We see that the vendor won a 2008 first-place prize at a Fiery Foods and BBQ Show, while the founding chef appears to be Bill Kelley, who has a Smokin’ Willie’s sauce line and cookbook.
