The owners of Roland’s Bagels may not have a Haight Street location anymore, but you can now get your bagel fix down the hilll in Hayes Valley at Terra Bakery and Café (401 Gough Street at Hayes), in the former Essencia space. In addition to their artisan bagels, muffins, breads and other baked goods, Terra features a daily savory menu as well as a weekend brunch menu — on which, as Thrillist tells us, the highlights are N.Y. steak and eggs, and dulce de leche pancakes.
