The BLD Project got a preview of Traif, a new restaurant on Williamsburg’s South 4th Street that is decidedly not for its Hasidic neighbors. Expect a small-plates menu featuring “shrimp, scallops, bacon, chorizo, pork belly, pork cheeks, potstickers, foie gras, lobster, ribs several ways … ” Owners are California transplants Heather Heuser and chef Jason Marcus, and opening day is Friday.
