While Futon Critic shares some details about Marcel Vigneron’s new Syfy show, Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen (“based on the client’s requests, Marcel will dream up a theme and cuisine for the event, which range from a fairy tale graduation party and a Goth-rock fashion show to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new subway line”), his fellow cheftestant Sam Talbot’s restaurant in the Mondrian finally has an opening date: Curbed says the hotel is aiming for November.

Meanwhile, we’re told Camille Becerra (whose Orchard Street project has also been long in the works) is hosting a series of secret dinners with Alan Philips of “Cocktail Hour.” Click over to the Hunger NYC to RSVP for the first of the six-course dinners on May 13. The theme: “a modern and urban influenced interpretation of La Cuisine Bourgeoise, a French style of cooking that implements high-quality seasonal ingredients, prepared simply in a family style manner.”
