SoMa: Thermidor, the much anticipated project from the Spork team at 8 Mint Plaza, sounds almost ready for its unveiling. Though the space is still, as of today, pretty sawdusty, we hear the owners are aiming for a May 11th opening, complete with a cocktail program from Brooke Arthur (formerly the bar goddess of Range, and soon-to-be taking the helm of the bar at Prospect). Downtown/FiDi: And speaking of Prospect, the BIG and long-delayed project from Boulevard chef de cuisine Ravi Kapur is finally becoming a reality in the base of the Infinity tower (300 Spear Street). All hands are coming on deck as of the middle of this month, with the aim of a June 15th soft opening, or thereabouts. But Grub Street also heard a rumor that Boulevard exec and Prospect backer Nancy Oakes is discussing temporarily shuttering Boulevard for a makeover and sending some of the staff over to help open Prospect? More on that as it develops. [Grub Street, Chron]

Marina: The former Left at Albuquerque space (2140 Union Street), vacant since the holidays, has got a new tenant: Junction, a restaurant and bar from at least one of the guys (Hugo Gamboa) who brought you Mas Sake, and the Marina Sports Bar & Grill. They’re still just in the liquor license app stage, so we’re guessing mid- to late summer for this one. [Grub Street]
SoMa: Ideal Deli at 8th and Folsom has shuttered and will soon become home to Pinkie’s Bakery and Bento 415, the businesses recently ousted from their Dogpatch digs by the rapidly growing John Campbell’s Irish Bakery. Ideal Deli’s owners have posted a note on the door saying that they are retiring. [Grub Street]
