The food truck scene’s going a little retro with the unveiling of The Munchie Machine, fittingly debuting next Tuesday, April 20th, in Palms. Taking a huge hit of inspiration from perpetually-hungry pup Scooby-Doo and his gang’s Mystery Machine–though not enough to raise the hackles of copyright attorneys–The Munchie Machine comes in a color scheme that will refresh plenty of childhood memories of Saturday morning. The truck serves a short menu of comfort food, with slightly random selections of grilled sandwiches including the Italian cold cut-layered Don, a peanut butter and banana PB2J, and a “green bird” with smoked turkey and pesto. There’ are also daily “green bowls” of rotating salads, plus two styles of fries and a deep selection of desserts, including three vegan options on-board. Munchie Machine will be at Bigfoot Lodge West next Tuesday, just in case you happen to be ravenously hungry, and has a Twitter for someone to keep track of, just in case you have little idea what’s going on around you. Sustenance - The Grilled Zone
All sandwiches served on choice of ciabatta, six-grain, or sourdough.
Croque De Munchie - Honey cured ham, Swiss cheese, Dijon mustard, mayo and a fried egg.
The Don - Genoa salami, cappa colla, ham, roma tomatoes, pepperoncinis, olive oil, Dijon mustard, mayo and provolone.
The Grilled Veggitini - Pesto, spinach, roasted red peppers, red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, zucchini, and parmesan cheese.
The Green Bird - Smoked Turkey, pesto, roma tomatoes, and Swiss cheese.
Munchie Club - Smoked Turkey, honey cured ham, avocado, roma tomatoes, mayo, Dijon mustard, Swiss cheese and bacon.
PB2J - Peanut butter and jelly with sliced bananas.
