A week after we learn that Pinkberry is closing its original storefront in West Hollywood, Yo Venice! reports that Abbot-Kinney’s location will bite the dust on May 3rd. While the city hardly needs another shuttered eatery, this is victory-at-last for the activists who rather successfully keep Venice chain store-free and fought Pinkberry’s expansion to the fashionable street. In other fro-yo goings-on, we see new Frost opening soon on Westwood Blvd. to help fill the power-vacuum sure to come if any more Pink-O’s get knocked off. While Frost does have a Facebook page, it’s currently a barren arctic landscape save for a logo design seemingly inspired by IHOP’s color scheme. Could it be the second-coming of The Berry? We’ll keep you posted once things heat up around here.
Opening Soon: Frost, 1848 Westwood Blvd. Westwood
