Culver City now has its own Pinches Tacos and the Anaya Brothers, founders of the Cha Cha Cha chain, have a second location in a budding empire that will soon stretch from Santa Monica Place to Birmingham, Alabama by the end of the August. The new location at Washington and National has room for 40 people, but no liquor license yet, so a BYOB policy is in place as in a liquor store across the street. The atmosphere is all-party, all-the-time, and this location adds loteria card murals with calacas depicting different Anaya Family members. A rep tells us Pinche’s sign has already drawn a few complaints from neighbors, but it could be the Miami Vice-color scheme rankling them more than any dirty words in español. Pinches Culver is now open from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and a grand opening party is planned for May 5th.
