The Cool Kids, I Am Robot and Proud, and a VHS or BETA are just a few of the musical acts announced to appear at Audio Picnic, a weekly lunchtime concert series at Millennium Park. The free event will run on nearly every Monday between June 7 and September 4, and should be a whole lot more pleasant than whatever soundtrack they are pumping out of the speakers at Chipotle. You could brown bag it to the park, but below are a few of the better lunch options available around the area.

Hidden in the back of a jewelry store on Wabash, Oasis Cafe features freshly fried falafel and other daily Mediterranean specials.

Pastoral Artisan Cheese features a range of handmade sandwiches.

It can get a little busy, but Macy’s Seven on State features the mother load of Frontera Fresco, Marc Burger, and a salad bar.

Of course, a fully loaded char dog from Gold Coast Dogs on Wabash is never a bad option.
