Mendocino Farms isn’t just for lunch anymore. The sandwich shop began dinner service yesterday that goes until 7:15 P.M. at both Downtown the Flower street location. Nearly as cool, the shop also now offers parking validation after 5:00 P.M. in the Citigroup Center lot for one-dollar for an hour’s stay. We don’t see new menu items for the new hours, but to celebrate, chef Judy Han is serving the new “Celebration Supper” sandwich pictured above at both stores, but only until this Friday. The sandwich sounds springier than the weather, with slow roasted beef brisket, braised savoy cabbage from Tamai Farms, baby arugula, watermelon radish from McGrath Farms, and herb aoili on toasted ciabatta. Still more exciting news, we see empire plans looming on Mendocino’s website, with a Marina del Rey location announced as “Coming Soon!”
