Brunch With the Fishes

Even those opposed to brunch — yes, such a curmudgeonly species does exist — ought to be excited about Marea’s new $38 prix-fixe Sunday-afternoon service. Any opportunity to wallow in Michael White’s pasta, after all, is a good thing, and the midday menu doesn’t lack for the chef’s celebrated starch. For egg lovers, there is a seafood frittata, and for high rollers willing to pony up an $18 supplement, the uovo e caviale: brioche, poached eggs, crab, sea-urchin zabaglione, and caviar.
