Ad Hoc at Home, My New Orleans Pick Up IACP Awards

Congrats, Keller.

The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) announced the winners of their annual cookbook awards last night at a gala in Portland, Oregon. There were no huge surprises among the winners — the big story this year was more who was excluded than who was nominated — but if you’re using the IACP to get an edge in your high-stakes Beard Awards pool, take note of the winners. Notably, Ad Hoc at Home took the award in the "Chefs and Restaurants" category, John Besh’s My New Orleans trounced Marcus Samuelsson’s New American Table in "American," and Rose Levy Berenbaum’s masterful Rose’s Heavenly Cakes took both "Baking: Savory or Sweet" and the all-around Cookbook of the Year award — despite not even making it as a Beard Award finalist.
