Alain Giruad will walk home with “Chef of the Year” honors

The Planned Parenthood L.A. Guild’s Food Fare returns this Thursday for its 31st year. In addition to tastings from L.A. headliners like Suzanne Goin, Michael’s, Joe’s, Ortolan, La Bottega Marino, and Drago, among other restaurants, caterers, beer, booze, and wine producers, there will be a few notable new guests revving guests’ engines. Yup, food trucks are parking their rides and these guys are biggies too, with Kogi, Border Grill, and Grilled Cheese Truck scheduled to appear. This will also be the first year where an honor is given by the organization, with Anisette’s Alain Giruad named as the group’s “Chef of the Year.” There are both daytime and evening sessions planned for the March 11th event, with tickets priced at $125 and $175 respectively. Details and tickets can be found on the Food Fare website.
