NFL Receiver Ochocinco Lashes Out at Katana Restaurant

“Damn, hi-end restaurants suck!” When Chad Ochocinco, wide receiver for The Bengals, gets mad, we listen, even if he’s addressing Ashton Kutcher on Twitter. The player railed online against Katana yesterday, claiming he and his friends were told something to the effect of “y’all aren’t welcome” after Ochocinco (née Johnson) pre-paid for tables but later had the restaurant “shut down our dinner plans.” Ochocinco even lashed out at Ryan Seacrest, a co-owner of Katana, on Twitter, “just to let you know your venue turned away myself and 45 of my friends, thank you Hollywood!” While the word “racism” didn’t appear in his Facebook and Twitter rants, Media Take Out notes that many of Ochocinco’s 45 friends were, much unlike Seacrest, African-American. The pro footballer closed the chapter by writing, “People wonder why I always eat at the same places… I love McDonalds and David’s Cafe” and ending on a truly sad note, “The meaning of being great today was totally destroyed.”
