Two new restaurants are being planned Downtown, one from the owner of Wokcano, and the other an additional location of Primo Bistro. BlogDowntown notes that this is Tony Rivera’s fourth proposed Primo, with two other Primos and a Tony’s Steakhouse all in various stages of development and delay in Downtown and an established Caffe Primo and Primo Bistro in West Hollywood. This new Primo Bistro would likely open its doors before Rivera’s other works in progress in a tiny space of 76 seats with bound-to-be-controversial sidewalk seating just west of the 110 Freeway on Wilshire.

Le Ka’ comes from Wokcano’s Michael Kwan and has set its target as 6th and Flower’s Crocker Bank Building with space for 140 seats and outdoor dining. Serving $13-$20 lunches and $30 entrees, Le Ka’ plans to operate 22 hours a day from 6:00-4:00 A.M. From its name and patronage, we wouldn’t be surprised if Le Ka’ embraces more than French food when it finally cuts ribbon. Stay tuned.
