Mignon Might Open in March


Expected since September, Mignon has been on the minds of many, with some once-hopeful souls practically announcing a flatline in the middle of construction. Today we got an email from co-owner Santos Uy, who dropped some clues on this new Downtown wine bar while telling us his Bacaro is closed tonight for a private fete. As for Mignon, he admits the project has been delayed since fall because of that classic hassle “red tape.” However Mignon, additionally clarified as a “wine and cheese” bar, is still a go and the owner thinks it will be open in a month, which he cautiously writes “in restaurant speak, means two years…Just kidding.” Keep your eyes on Mignon’s website in the meantime.
