From the Twitters comes word of the whereabouts of recently escaped Ubuntu chef Jeremy Fox: He’s headed south, apparently to L.A., and tweets from the road, “I-5 has never been so pungent. Lost my steak craving.” That was about eight hours ago that Fox would have been passing Harris Ranch in Coalinga, and we shouldn’t start unsubstantiated rumors that Fox’s early start this a.m. means that he was trying to make it down to SoCal in time for an afternoon interview/business meeting. (But we just did.) In any event, a call to Ubuntu yielded no news from their end, though the management has promised a press release about Fox’s replacement in the near future. Is this just a vacation, Jeremy? Let us know whenever.
