By some stroke of magic, Brokeass Gourmet managed to purchase ingredients for a Valentine’s meal at the notoriously spendy Bi-Rite market for under $20. How does she do it? Well, as she explains to NBC Bay Area, she buys some humble chicken breasts, herbs, pinto beans, mozzarella, a lemon, and she’s obviously depending on her date to bring the booze and the dessert.
