Frank Waldman, the founder and original owner of popular Doughboys, has died. The cafe and bakery started by the chef in 1992 re-opened only one month ago under new ownership, following two years closed for health violations that Waldman aggressively argued against. Cause of death has been reported as “complications following surgery.” [Eater L.A.]
