Big news out of the Chris Parsons empire this afternoon: the Bocuse d’Or competitor will shut down his Winchester restaurant Catch after dinner on Valentine’s Day, says spokesperson Martha Sullivan. Chorizo clam fans, don’t panic: Catch has simply outgrown its current space and will be moving to an as-yet-undisclosed location in Boston or Cambridge. Meanwhile, Parsons will open Parsons Table in the current Catch space by the end of February.
Parsons Table is hopping on the locavore comfort food bandwagon (think mac and cheese with Shelburn Farms cheddar and Ioka Family Farm skirt steak) and a generous selection of microbrews will be on tap. Parsons plans to refit the Catch space with reclaimed wood tabletops and barnwood sliding accents.
