It was a juicy, cheesy, finger-licking tussle to the top as Brooke Vosika of Bristol Lounge was crowned winner of last night’s Burger Bash at Nine Zero Hotel. Ken Oringer, manning the KO Prime and Toro/Coppa tables, rounded up nine of Beantown’s finest to bust out their best interpretations of the classic to benefit Autism Speaks. Cold PBRs in hand, guests judged entries that ranged from the traditional (Andy Husbands’ grass fed beef burger with special sauce) to the unorthodox (Ming Tsai’s shrimp burger with Asian slaw). But in hindsight, the golden crown of a fried potato ring on each of Vosika’s buns seemed oddly prophetic when they edged out Jamie Bissonnette’s burgers for the victory. Check out our slideshow for a not-just-red-meat rundown of last night’s festivities.
