Where to Eat and Escape the Super Bowl

Remember the heavily-accented hee-hawing you invoked last time you tried discussing “American football” with your European pals? They now have somewhere else to go on game day as Italian-British Cecconi’s transforms into Super Bowl Sanctuary, a retreat for people who don’t want to watch, listen to, or even consider the game. In addition to its regular menu, Cecconi’s will offer special two and three course menus for $35 and $45 respectively, from 3-7 p.m. and throw in a free pint of Peroni or glass of prosecco. Nothing will be in the shape of a football and no one will ask you about stats that you never understood in the first place. You will miss out on the commercials, however. If football-phobia is rampant in your household or Al Davis once broke your heart and it can’t be mended, Cecconi’s Super Bowl Sanctuary menu is below.
