It’s a great week for dessert: Pichet Ong’s Village Tart soft opened yesterday with sweet and savory tarts and Dessert Truck’s Jerome Chang will open his his first brick-and-mortar location, DessertTruck Works, on the Lower East Side on Friday. DT Works is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. You’ll have to wait till next week to try the wine bar-café offerings from Village Tart, but you can while away the hours sampling MaximoPino gelato.
