Uncle Darrow’s, the Cajun-Creole restaurant that once closed its original location at 5301 West Venice Blvd., is celebrating ten years at its surviving Marina del Rey location on Saturday, January 16th on Lincoln. The party will be on Darrow’s patio and feature live zydeco, jazz, and blues music, plus a crawfish broil, all starting at 1 p.m.

We took a minute with Darrow’s owner Norwood J. Clark Jr., who tells us that the from-scratch recipes handed down through his family continue to impress and solidify his kitchen’s rep for authentic Cajun in L.A. “I just got a call the other day from a friend who is visiting New Orleans. He was asking for help. He’d been there for awhile but said he badly needed restaurant recommendations as he couldn’t find a place that was as good as what he gets at Uncle Darrow’s.” Uncle Darrow’s 10th Anniversary Celebration, January 16th, 1-4 p.m. at 2560 S. Lincoln Blvd. 310-306-4862.
