We got clued in to the imminent arrival of Logan Square’s Nice Slice Pizza Bar back in late ‘09, and it looks like the restaurant — coming from the same folks who brought us Simone’s, Northside, and a few other places — is right on target for their predicted February opening. To soothe the waiting masses, though, they’ve brought on artist Ryan Dougherty to put up teaser comics on the papered-over windows.

We always wondered what made laundromats located in the spots of future pizza restaurants up and close — it’s a relief to know it’s actually a machine sent from the future to destroy them and offset global warming. The comics are pasted over and updated often; for the story so far, check out adept chronicler Rachelle B. [Rachelle B, MMix]
