Gentrification cometh at long last to mid-Market and 6th Street. Eater brings us a nice slideshow of the long-awaited Passion Café, officially the first bougie eatery to open on Sixth Street (not counting Split Pea Seduction because they’re lunch- and take-out only). Along with that upcoming restaurant from the Foreign Cinema folks in the Warfield Building, and a new shopping center in the works between 5th and 6th, change finally looks imminent on these long forgotten, depressingly vacant few blocks between BART stops.
