The Boston Wine Festival kicks off tonight and runs through April and the Boston Wine Expo, its larger cousin, runs from January 23-24. Which one should you attend? We’ve developed a handy three question quiz to help you decide, teen magazine style.

Just how big of a wine geek are you?
A) Pretty big. I can tell a Cabernet from a Châteauneuf-de-Pape on first sip.
B) Well, I mean, I like getting drunk on wine.

How much money do you have?
A) I can drop a few hundred, no sweat.
B) I would prefer to pay under a dollar for every wine I sample.

Have you been dying to see Gary Vaynerchuk live and in person?
A) No.
B) YES!

If you answered mostly As: The Boston Wine Festival sounds like the right fit for you! Hosted by Rowes Wharf Sea Grille chef Daniel Bruce, each session of the Festival focuses on specific wines. If “Malbecs from Around the World” sounds like your idea of fun, this is the event for you, but it will cost you: individual workshop tickets cost up to $225.

If you answered mostly Bs: You should go to the Boston Wine Expo. Over 450 wineries will be represented, so it’s a great way to get an overview if you know you like wine, but you don’t know too much else. If you buy your tickets before the 16, they top out at $175 for two days in the Grand Cru Lounge. And yes, Twitter wine expert Gary Vaynerchuk will be present and accounted for. Star power!
