Reputed Mobster Will Help Open New Lucali

Back in November, a probation officer accused reputed mobster Dominick Dionisio of keeping a “sham” job at Lucali, but it seems that not only will Dionisio be making pies at the place’s new South Slope pizzeria, Giuseppina’s (owner Mark Iacono trusts almost no one with his recipes), but he’ll also help Iacono open it. The Post quotes a lawyer who is representing Dionisio in a racketeering case: “Mr. Dionisio’s duties at the new location will require him to travel to [Manhattan] for, among other things, his food handler’s license and permits for the restaurant … He will be purchasing décor and equipment for the new restaurant as well.”
