Not even a year after an opening that was delayed by design snafus, Montenapo, the stylish BiCE spinoff in the New York Times building, has closed. A message on its website says the restaurant is “currently closed for Winter Holiday while we recreate our concept and menu in hopes to reopen by February,” and a phone call reveals that they’re looking for investors. “We are reorganizing and changing the concept and should have something definite by February,” said an employee who declined to be named. That employee said they are aiming to reopen with the same name.
