Even though it’s been in the works for almost a year now, Graham Elliot Bowles’s sandwich shop, Grahamwich, has just now landed on the Food & Wine radar. Kate Krader does add to the discourse with the reveal that Bowles is thinking about specific menu items like a Hawaiian roll loaded with braised pork belly and hoisin mayo, and a dessert ‘wich of grilled peaches with almond streusel served on the very Bowlesian choice of Wonder Bread. (This is, after all, the guy who garnishes his risotto with Cheez-Its.)

Perhaps even more exciting: Bowles is planning on deploying bike messengers to sell pre-made sandwiches at crowded areas, like post-game Wrigley — it’s not quite food trucks, but we’re getting there. And no, sadly, there’s still no opening date (or location!) in sight. [Mouthing Off/F&W;]
